As of April 1, 2013 Senate Bill 1193 requires certain businesses to post a notice informing the public and victims of human trafficking of telephone hotline numbers to seek help or report unlawful activity.
We have created a poster and we need your help to make sure they are distributed and displayed in all required business locations in Riverside County. Download the Human-Trafficking-Print_11x17.
According to the SD 1193 Bill Posters must now be displayed in:
Airports, Bus Stations, Rest Stops, Hotels, Motels, Urgent Care Centers, Emergency Rooms, Truck Stops, Farm Labor Contractors, Liquor Stores and Convenience Stores that sell alcohol, Adult Businesses, Privately Operated Job Recruitment Centers, Massage or other Body Work Businesses.
There are specific posting mandates for these businesses and penalties for a failure to post.
The mandated posting provides victims of human trafficking with essential information on where to obtain assistance. The posting also provides critical information to the public on how to report suspected human trafficking.
Please help RCAHT fight to bring Human Trafficking in our County to the forefront.
